Green is my favorite color. No seriously it is. It creates the perfect color palette for a wedding, makes for gorgeous succulent centerpieces, the perfect take home favor for your guests and can even be great for the environment. DIY brides, this is the perfect wedding for you! You can cut costs, keep up with wedding trends and throw the most environmentally friendly wedding this year. Here are some ideas to keep the wheels spinning…
Succulents and Fresh Plants are the next “it” centerpiece in the wedding world. Not only are they the hottest trend right now, but they are great for the earth, can be re-planted AND come in a large variety of shapes and sizes.
FAVORS & DECOR IDEAS:
Whether you hand out moss covered rock escort cards, tulip bulb boxes escort “cards” or planted flowers that can serve as centerpieces AND wedding favors, both are green and eco-friendly! Your guests and the earth will thank you 🙂

Lighting can give your wedding the desired KEY ambiance you are searching for. From romantic to parisian to full on bling, a chandelier can express your exact wedding trend. Not only does this simple decor item provide a gorgeous reflection of light onto your reception and ceremony but it also adds a level of sophistication and class! Liven up a backyard, a barn or even a tent with that perfect chandelier. You can even mix and match to your hearts desire. And for those of you who are trying to be more cost effective you can make your own with mason jars, wire and a cast iron ring. If you are not the DIY bride, check out Ikea, Pottery Barn, Ballard Designs and Restoration Hardware for some fabulous chandeliers! You can also rent from your local event lighting companies and event decor companies.

Oh the Wedding Cake…everyone’s favorite part of a wedding, well besides the open bar of course. Well the new trend in wedding cakes is LOTS of cake. Different styles, varieties, types…the cake table means so much more to weddings today! Whether you choose 5 small cakes in different flavors or set up an entire dessert table, make your wedding cake table the second most beautiful thing on your wedding day (besides you!). And guess what? It does not cost more than a regular large wedding cake…and you and your groom can enjoy your favorite flavors and desserts! Everyone wins. And trust me…your guests will be just as thrilled to partake in your bevy of sweets!
A purse is every girl’s best friend…besides diamonds of course. And you can make the ultimate statement as a bride with a fabulous clutch accessory. Whether you have a spring wedding with a floral clutch, or a black and white wedding with a lace clutch – you can carry your most important wedding day items – a $20 bill, lipstick, mints, tissues and maybe even your cell phone. Hand your clutch to your MOH or wedding planner, but make sure to grab it on your way out the door – trust me…anything goes with a wedding dress!
What do you get when you combine a bride, a vineyard estate and 400 friends and family? A gorgeous black and white Oregon summertime wedding! As the guests arrived to the Dillon/Osborne Wedding they were greeted with sparkling water, champagne and scrumptous appetizers. Carley and Jon enjoyed sunset nuptials amongst parasols and carnation pommanders. Their guests sipped on personalized cocktails during the cocktail hour and enjoyed some evening dancing under the stars to a 10-piece band. One of the many highlights of the evening was the secret “thriller” dance that Carley and her father busted out during the father/daughter dance. As the evening turned to night, guests tore up the dance floor to the tunes of a dj and the evening finally came to an end as the bride and groom drove away in style.

Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Frank Sintra and Marilyn Monroe. Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. All fabulous Old Hollywood couples and the fabulous 40s were the perfect inspiration for Shannon and Brian’s December wedding in Palm Springs at The Parker. From the bride’s swooping satin dress to the hollywood glam Parker design their celebration was nothing short of spectacular. The phenomenal photographer Braedon, captured the evening with 8mm film to give a little extra glam to the perfectly chic evening.
